Key Responsibilities:
- Work out with Finance & Strategies department to develop the annual budget for remittance & payment businesses (i.e. Telegraphic Transfer, RegionLink Instant Funds Transfer, Maybank Money Express-MME, and Payroll, etc.).
- Plan, formulate and develop the remittance & payment business (go-to-market) strategies
- Monitor and enforce the sale strategic implementation in order to achieve the planned budgets.
- To keep abreast of developments in the remittance and payment industry – both locally and internationally via market or desk research
- Plan and develop the new related remittance and payment products or services in both physical or online channel as well as enhancement of the existing products or services in a competitive and innovative manner.
- Collaborate with other departments such as IT, Finance, Central Operation, and relevant Back Office Support units to develop probability studies, business requirements and return on investment analyses to effectively deliver the planned remittance and payment services initiatives within appropriate business timeline and expectation.
- Develop a robust business case paper for management and board approval.
- Monitoring and taking necessary corrective actions to ensure that the product development/enhancement project is on the right track and quality assurance.
- Champion the positioning and branding of remittance and payment services
- Develop related sale campaigns for pushing the sales in order to reach the planned targets with comprehensive cost and benefits analysis.
- Regularly monitor the sale performance report and take necessary actions to enforce the sale performance at branches
- Plan, formulate and develop customer relationship management (CRM) strategies to ensure customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and customer retention
- Regularly monitoring and enforcing the implementation of CRM with the front-line staff
- Manage the remittance & payment business team for ensuring good team work environment, team development and higher productivity
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a business related field such as finance & banking/Commerce/IT/Sale
- At least 3 years in a managerial capacity in the remittance & payment in both physical and online channels of a Bank or financial institution
- Proven and moderate sales and business development experience
- Sound knowledge of remittance and payment platforms and services, policies & procedures, and practices. Incumbent should have knowledge or experience in key functional areas including business relationship, sale campaign development, remittance and payment service platforms, service security, remittance and payment project management, etc.
- Being able to use both qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze complex financial situations
- Strong leadership and people management skill with the ability to drive performance of the team as well as the business
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes
- Flexible with the ability to assimilate quickly into a demanding role/environment
